TREATMENT APPROACHES AND MODELS

My services include individual psychotherapy and occupational therapy for all ages, as well as workshops and lectures on request.

My approach to psychotherapy is collaborative and flexible. While my primary orientation is cognitive psychotherapy, -often 6 months to 3 years in treatment length, I am also comfortable working in a brief therapy setting on specific goals. I am also familiar with lifestyle-based approaches to healing where we strive to appoint the links between mind and body. Although my special interest area is to help you to bring about emotional and behavioural changes to enable you to live a more fulfilling life, I also have a passion for exploring existential questions and the meaning of life.

In occupational therapy I use various treatment models based on Occupational Science, such as the Model of Human Occupation (MOHO), the Person-Environment-Occupational Performance (PEOP) and the Biopsychosocial Model. I am trained to assess and treat any disturbance in your everyday life, and will rely on a vast array of specific tools and techniques based on your needs, whether the disturbance is affecting your work, studies, leisure time, self-care, rest, play, social interaction, performing your societal responsibilities or your belief in yourself and your motivation. Together we will strive to depict things that hinder your ability to perform at your full capacity in your life tasks and your environments. I will work together with you in goal setting as well as planning and executing change. â€‹
